Many years ago, a friend of mine, upset over bad times with her boyfriend and feeling lonely, went to the movies to cheer herself up. What did she pick?

"Schindler's List."

I, feeling alone and grey, decided to cheer myself up with one of the movies I bought months ago for the Costume Whores Movie Marathon. What did I pick?

"Cold Mountain."

While I cried intermittently throughout, the old woman stroking and comforting the goat before dinner made me actually stop the movie and play with my dog. And the young widow who asks Inman just to sleep beside her...when she took his hand and closed her eyes, I cried almost as hard as she did.

It's just a bad night. I'll be fine later when I've had some sleep. But I said one thing so unfortunately melodramatic, but even more unfortunately true: I wish I had the knife that could cut him out of me.

i've noticed a phenonmenon known as "the curse". women that have fucked me over all have attracted it apparently. their sex lives go to hell and they get fat :) so now, i can sleep in peace.

so you don't need a knife, just a handy hex.

See, but that's the thing! It was the other way 'round! You know I'm just sweetness and light all over the place. Who would I fuck over?

I used to watch "Schindler's List" a lot, when I was depressed. It made me realize that, in the grande scheme of things, my life really wasn't all that bad.

*hugs* I'm sorry, sweetie. A good night's sleep usually helps... although on nights like that it can be painfully hard to get any sleep at all.

You got that right. On the upside, now I've given up on sleeping for the moment, I can go get the new display dress form FedEx left at the rental office. I'll just try to nap again, later.

Please, next time, when you need cheering up, pick "There's Something About Mary", OK?

::hugs::

I didn't know! I DIDN'T KNOOOOOW!

Sigh. Is "The Last Samurai" a bad choice, too? Just warn me now.

Um, yeah.

I mean, come on, it's about "The LAST..." of something. Those movies are always depressing. 'Cause, y'know, it's about THE END OF SOMETHING!

If you are going for historical movies, Deni recommends TROY. I mean, yeah, people are dead in the end, but it's pretty fluffy story-wise, and there is plenty of "hunky-man eye-candy" in the meantime.

And it features Orlando Bloom's ass. Can't go wrong with Orlando Bloom's ass.

Umm, according to Deni, that is. Not me. Nope. I don't give a hoot about no yummy Bloom Butt. Nosiree Bob.

I'm going to go take a shower now.
