Not my best idea.
Jul. 30th, 2005 12:25 amMany years ago, a friend of mine, upset over bad times with her boyfriend and feeling lonely, went to the movies to cheer herself up. What did she pick?
"Schindler's List."
I, feeling alone and grey, decided to cheer myself up with one of the movies I bought months ago for the Costume Whores Movie Marathon. What did I pick?
"Cold Mountain."
While I cried intermittently throughout, the old woman stroking and comforting the goat before dinner made me actually stop the movie and play with my dog. And the young widow who asks Inman just to sleep beside her...when she took his hand and closed her eyes, I cried almost as hard as she did.
It's just a bad night. I'll be fine later when I've had some sleep. But I said one thing so unfortunately melodramatic, but even more unfortunately true: I wish I had the knife that could cut him out of me.
