Help.

I have a friend who is, I think, approaching a crisis. If any of you knows or is a drug and alcohol counselor, I need advice right now. I just don't know what to do.


ETA: Put the mask over your own face, remember.

I called my own therapist, who always gives me perspective. She's right. There's nothing I can do right now for my friend. She called again. I told her to go into work tomorrow, but she said she won't. I can only turn off the phone, try to sleep, and deal with her when she's sober again. She knows I love her, at least.

The worst part is letting them hit the bottom. We are programmed to help and the person's disease is not going to make them seek help until they are their at their bottom. It is hell to go through, but it is necessary to get them to begin the healing process. You may wish to seek help for your feelings with your counselor or Al-anon and Narc-anon have programs for those around such situations.

You didn't cause it, you can't cure it and you can't control it. This is my montra. I am a member of Al-anon. It is not counseling it is a group of people who know what you have been through, what you are going through. Think about it. you may even network for Mayfaire Moon.
