Yet somehow, I did. I think the AmeriQuest Mortgage spot with the cat won. Though I did like the NFL's annual "Tomorrow" spot. And, of course, Sir Paul managed to be both completely unimpeachable and very, very good.

Oh? The game? Well.

Hands down the best spot the whole evening. The "tomorrow" spot got my attention as well. The most disappointing spots I think were the 0to60 in five by Cadillac, and the animals trying out for the Budweiser wagon spots. Both of these were interesting in concept, but were poorly executed. I enjoyed the first careerbuilder monkey spot, but the subsequent ones weren't that funny. The Ford Mustang spot was also good, though I can't believe they repeated it 1 minute later. If they knew they were doing it again, I would have spaced it better, or had a follow up with the snow melting and the driver thawing and peeling out. I had the best respect for a PSA type ad for the Anheiser "Applause" ad. It was tastefully done without any product placement, or obvious taking advantage of the subject matter. It must have been so tempting to add "This Bud's for you" to the end of it.

As an Old Skool Pats Fan (tm), I am thrilled. After growing up in Boston, in the 80's... well... let's just say that our local High School football team had a better track record. Oh well.

Let's compare this year's half-time to last year's half-time. Last year: general chatter and eating, with a sudden "Oh my GOSH, did you see THAT?!?!". This year: a group of good friends, watching Sir Paul, and singing along.

It was good. :)

Oh - this was pointed out to me: USAirways has some really good sales right now, and a few of the flights come out of Philly. One of which is, hint hint, to Raleigh/Durham for $29 one way. If you were planning on coming down to NCRF, that is. ;)
