My first thought was, "Meh. Dumb thing to do, but whatever." Then I read the stories, and I remembered I still can't look at an old photo of NYC without feeling like I've been kicked in the stomach.

What the fuck were these people thinking? Did they honestly believe thousands of people wouldn't be completely fucking terrified? How many horrific flashbacks did they set off with this publicity crap?

last month they were filming some new show with a boat explosion on the potomac, but it was decently publish around so people knew it was going to happen for that reason, to avoid panic.

yeah 'cause dc has no reason to worry about low flying planes....i mean maybe it happens more often here but i bet it still causes people to worry...especially if they are in an area that doesn't usually have low flying planes. i mean i know NY got it harder in some ways on 9/11 but for those of us who were in dc-area and didn't know what was going on exactly and some of us wondering if our parents were at the pentagon (my dad was on a regular basis so it was real fear, but he wasn't that day) or if my mom couldn't get out of the city how should i get home from school and what about my siblings at their school it was just as scary and i think i resent her comment.

No, trust me, it's fine. I'm not sure, myself, how one remembers 9/11 and forgets the Pentagon. I'm still baffled about why anyone would think it was a good idea to do this ANYWHERE without telling anyone it was going to happen.
