I don't know where your mail's gone, but I have two things I wanna say/ask/tell you.
1) Kyle and I are talking of going to a nice garden-y place when the weather's just a tad warmer (hopefully on Sunday?) to take more corset shots for your website!
2) Would you be able to make me a long mantilla-type thing -- with lovely lace and maybe a brocade type panel in the center? I thought I wanted a gold/cream, but K's set on black (of course!) So color is up for debate and suggestions.
1) That's hysterical, cos I was just going to ask you if I could borrow you. There's a gorgeous wooded area here in which I was going to drape you, if you were amenable. Problem being, I'm not that great a photographer. This is muuuuch better! Just remember to pull the corset down, and The Girls up! Squee!
2) Sounds yummy. Do you need to attach it to a comb? Does it need to be light? And by when do you need it?
I bought this really cool skirt that I want to wear with it -- I think it will be a great shoot :)
And yes to both the comb and the lightness. I'm bad with deadlines, because by the time I come up with these ideas, I've convinced myself I need it now! ;) Would you be able to make me something within a month-ish?
I've been trying to find images, but nothing really strikes my fancy. I was googling Renaissance Mantilla too, because I really like the idea of something that looks like it's made out of rich gorgeous fabric. I'll keep looking though, and if you have a good image site, let me know!
The thing I like about this one is that it has a trim -- I was thinking that the center, instead of being more lace, would be some kind of light silky textured thing... and then trimmed with black or cream colored lace. And it would be longer than these.
I could use a nice silk for that. And I can get a lovely trim, too. Depending on how much and when you want it, hell, I could have a friend MAKE the lace.
