Oh, bother.
Mar. 22nd, 2009 06:03 pmNow, every time I try to remember how to spell "weird," or even see the word, I remember Terrance Zdunich at Wicked, while introducing his movie, remarking that he didn't even know how to spell it. Room full of geeks? Of course someone spelled it out for him.
Rather fun day at work today. Several hours of amiable flirting between my coworker Catherine and I and a gentleman coming back from St. Thomas on his way home to Vegas. He was carrying a half-dozen homemade rum cakes. Catherine hyperfocused on those puppies like a vampire on a bag of A-. As we were, essentially, double-teaming him with the flirting, he didn't stand a chance. After hanging around chatting for an hour or so-- and coming back several times before his flight left-- he of course handed one over. I had two bites, and that was MORE than enough for me. I'm the chick who took a shot of Vick's Formula 44D many moons ago and found the house spinning.
I was supposed to go to dinner with my aunt. I bailed on her last night, and now she's feeling a bit tired, and bailed on me for tonight. It's just as well-- I hear a nap calling me, insidiously. I am helpless to its siren song.
A bit of silk shopping tomorrow, and minioning with Ryan. Hm. If I ever have a TV show, that's my new title. She'll love it.
