We'll see what happens now. Officer Hall was very cool. He took one look at my place and was convinced I'm a spell-casting vampire. I think I disabused him of the notion. He assured me there will be stories told at the precinct tonight.

I reported the missing items. I gave him particulars. It's done now.

i assume this was due to the previous drama and not some unrelated break in or anything right??

Done is good.

Also, here's to making a good impression on the officer. Their lives are full of ugly. He must've been spellbound by your lovely!

I think he was at least amused. And I'm sorry I didn't call back-- tomorrow?

Meh, He's probibly actually met a real SCV. As soon as you explained that you're a fashion corset designer it most likely clicked for him.
((((hugs))))

If he did, he didn't know it. I think he just thought I was weird and kinda fun.

I thought you were giving her til tomorrow. Did you get some sort of response to make you move up your deadline? Just wondering, as I think giving her time to make good was very generous on your part to begin with.
I hope you're able to get this settled with some degree of satisfaction.

I did-- I said yesterday she had til today. Once all her profiles disappeared, I knew she was going completely off the radar. Now one of my customers is utterly fucked.

Let him think what he wants, as long as he files the report properly and follows up with it. Sorry it had to come to that - being flaky is one thing, outright theft is another.

Technically, since I gave her the corset, it can't be called theft. But I have other options.

Even though it was given to her with instructions to mail to a customer?

I guess, unless she was a formal employee, I can see that. It still blows, though. I'm sorry it had to come to this.

*nod* Theft is technically is the illegal taking of another person's property without that person's freely-given consent. Since Yso freely gave the corset to this individual, she won't be able to prosecute under theft statutes.

That said, there are plenty of other options out there. Lawmakers over the years have come up with a bazillion different ways to essentially say "he done took me sh*t and won't give it back!". You just have to pick the right cause of action. :)

Standard 'I am not a lawyer' disclaimer applies. Although I *did* get an A in criminal law. ;)

Given that he works in the Philadelphia area...a SCV would be a step up in the world.

I could ask my cousin the Balt. city cop what he would think if he gat a call to a place like yours. But then again, he is my cousin...and a gamer, so he is used to the "not quite normal"

See you friday!

Do cops have flags?

Anyway, he wasn't my type, alas, and was married. But having the cops know who I am? I'm fiiiine with that. Especially in this neighbourhood.

*hugs* I'm so sorry that it had to come to this, but I'm really glad you took this step. People need to realize that there are consequences to their actions. Period.

I am sorry you are having to deal with this, especially from someone you trusted.

Sending warm thoughts.
