I got a call literally six minutes before I was to be at work telling me, "Hey, instead of coming in at 2, how about you come in at 5?" I was already in the car, but I said sure, and went back inside.

Later, as it seems I have a minion coming tonight, I called and said, "How about if I just don't come in at all?" Lauren's response?

"Yeah, never mind. It's so fucking dead in here."

Woot.

I called her back a second later, though. "Hey, you got my text the other night, right?" I'd put on a $700 amethyst-and-diamond-in-14k-white-gold necklace, and walked out with it at the end of the night. Annoyed, I texted her with an "Oh, FUCK!" message on the way home. So I asked her on the phone if she wanted to come pick it up on her way home tonight.

"Nah. I'm not worried about it."

Where else could I work that's quite this...er...relaxed?

Yeah. I do have to admit, yes, there are.

And thank you! I have a pattern to draft from an existing corset for a woman who was "too busy" to be properly measured. She just tried on an existing corset and said, "Make it an inch lower here." Oh, this will be fun. So much fun.
