ysobelleI got a call literally six minutes before I was to be at work telling me, "Hey, instead of coming in at 2, how about you come in at 5?" I was already in the car, but I said sure, and went back inside.
Later, as it seems I have a minion coming tonight, I called and said, "How about if I just don't come in at all?" Lauren's response?
"Yeah, never mind. It's so fucking dead in here."
Woot.
I called her back a second later, though. "Hey, you got my text the other night, right?" I'd put on a $700 amethyst-and-diamond-in-14k-white-gold necklace, and walked out with it at the end of the night. Annoyed, I texted her with an "Oh, FUCK!" message on the way home. So I asked her on the phone if she wanted to come pick it up on her way home tonight.
"Nah. I'm not worried about it."
Where else could I work that's quite this...er...relaxed?
