ysobelleLauren, my DM, now says that everyone has to close one night a week. I told her that I said when she asked me to come back I would not, under any circumstances, open the store, and would close only if it were an emergency. She says, "Well, Robert says we have to tighten our belts, and everyone has to close at least one night a week." I told her it seems we're going to have to talk to him, then. When one closes this store, that means leaving at 10.30pm. I can't do that and draft patterns. I HATE closing.
I don't want to lose this job. But I didn't want to be full-time, either. I didn't want to close.
It could be much, much worse. In a time when so many of my friends can't even find decent jobs to begin with. this is a petty problem. I know. I'm just frustrated about many, many things, and this is merely another example.
Again, today, I had someone say, "Well, I asked so-and-so about my corset."
What the hell? WHY do people ask anyone but ME about their corsets? Why? Don't go to my friends. Don't go to someone who used to hang out in my booth. Don't go to the guy who cleans the bathrooms on the other side of the site where I had a shop this one time. COME TO ME. If you can't get hold of me on my MayFaire Moon number-- which is ON MY WEBSITE-- send me an email through the site. Text me. Call my personal phone. Send me a direct MFM email. Send me an email through my personal eddress. Find me on Facebook or MySpace. Find me here on LiveJournal. Ask someone for my number. Go through PARF's site. Find me on the Wench Board. and Xander would love to have the opening and closing of the store... too bad its in philly. he wouldnt love that too much. He's gotten to the point of willing to work at Subway if its paid employment.
