Does anyone have a decent amount of experience with Entourage? I want to archive most of my old mail-- I have it going back literally years-- so that it doesn't take three minutes to switch from pane to pane, or to open/close the program. I want to be able to actually ACCESS those emails, just not have them in the program now. It's running so slowly I want to pitch it through a window.

if i recall correctly, when you create an archive of old mail, you just drag that file onto Entourage later and it opens as its own folder.

Use File > Export > Create Entourage Archive.

I cannot tell you how much I love you right now.

That particular option won't work the way I need, but it tells me I can simply drag selected emails out, which I knew, but never thought about for this purpose.

SQUEE!

Also, rebuild your database. (Hold down option as Entourage starts up, I think. --I haven't used Entourage in years -- moved to Apple Mail long ago.)
