Yes, I bailed on the party tonight. [livejournal.com profile] snugglyevil wasn't feeling so hot-- which is funny, cos I spent most of the day not feeling so great myself-- and she was to have been my ride, so we decided on dinner at Kabuki, followed by-- gasp!-- grocery shopping. I don't love grocery shopping (I must take after my Mom there), but having company made it enjoyable. The problem, of course, was carting everything upstairs afterwards. But I finally, FINALLY, have food in my apartment. I literally haven't done any serious grocery shopping in maybe a month. I'm eating like a pig, and it's dreadful. Ugh. At any rate, I sincerely apologise to the fabulous hosts upon whom I bailed.

Apropos of nothing, I have to ask a question of all in general that occurred to me tonight: is it really that surprising that I love Stevie Nicks and Fleetwood Mac? I find when I tell people about that, they look at me as if I'd grown another head. "You? You're kidding, right?"

Just curious.

You were both missed this evening. And who was that who you sent the message with?

Damn. I feel like there's an echo in here, as I was just about to post "You were both missed last night." RFR: GET OUT AND STAY OUT!

You *were* both missed last night. So now you *must* attend our next event, whenever that is.

As for nothing...Stevie Nicks rocks the world. Fleetwood Mac is pretty damn good, too, as I'm rediscovering. So, no surprise to me.

Hope you both are feeling better.

I've got the similar but oppostie reaction. There's a few songs I adore, like "Beauty and the Beast" and "Has Anyone Ever Written Anything for You?" but I'm sort of meh about the rest. People find that out and act like I've betrayed their view of the universe, or something.

I totally buy you as a Stevie fan!!

Fleetwood Mac was HUGE when I was growing up. They are one of my favorite groups and I adore all of their music. When I think of that period of my life, my teen years and high school, Fleetwood Mac is the soundtrack of those memories.
