My cats are curled up on the bed beside me, attempting to sleep. That's their job, and they're very, very good at it. They take it quite seriously.

If, however, I disturb them in any way-- if I jostle the bed, or touch them, or perhaps even look at them-- they...sort of...beep at me. It's somewhere between a mumble and a miauw, and it's rather adorable. But it has to be timed just right-- they have to be juuust on the edge of sleeping, or I just get cross looks.

So now, of course, I cannot resist "playing" the cats. They're even in thirds.

I'm so going to the special hell.

cats are so fun to fuck with. Barely touching the hairs that come out of their ears is fun too when they're sleeping. Repeat until eyes open and they scowl at you.

They deserve it. They're super bitchy creatures. Screwing with them is a way to bring them back down to reality.

I don't remember who said "Cats were once worshipped as gods and they have not forgotten this"

*sporfle*

If I had such musical cats, I'd do that too. As it is, I can't resist irritating one of ours by messing with the little fuzz in between his toes when he's upside-down in CuteNap!mode. xD

We do that with ours, but in our case, it's growling. When you rock her like a baby, the growling changes pitch. It's hilarious!

I'm sorry, but all I can think of is the Monty Python skit where he plays the Bells of St. Mary's with the Mouse Organ.

Yeah, now you know just how twisted my mind is. ;)
