The first episode of Doctor Who in 2009 will arrive at Easter, and we know who's going to direct it, too...
It wasn’t a particular secret, but we don’t remember it being confirmed in any sense before. But basically, the first of the new specials for Doctor Who in 2009 is going to be broadcast at Easter.
The script for the as-yet unnamed show has been co-written by Russell T Davies and Gareth Roberts, which marks the first time that a Doctor Who episode has had more than one writing credit since it returned. It’s also been confirmed that James Strong will direct (he was, among many other episodes, responsible for Voyage of the Damned last Christmas).
The strong rumour regarding the remaining three special episodes for 2009 is that they’ll be bunched together over Christmas, although no word has been forthcoming thus far.
