ysobelle | Well, this is productive.

My aunt has had another seizure. Mom called from the hospital to update me. She doesn't sound hysterical, so I'm gathering this is not the end of the world. They have sedated her, however-- my aunt, not my mother, though that might not be a bad idea at some point-- so that she can get some rest. They are also moving her to the ICU, as soon as they can find her a bed. Considering she spent almost 24 hours in the emergency room waiting for a proper bed, I'm not holding my breath that she'll get settled any time soon.

So. I'm sitting. I'm almost caught up on all my work, and I sent almost everything to faire with

surlywench yesterday, anyway. With my aunt sedated and roomless, there's no point in my going to the hospital to stare at the walls. I'm just...sitting. I don't want to have something happen with me an hour and a half away at least, so...I'm sitting. I feel absolutely, positively, useless.

At least I got some good writing done last night, and I have a little more of an idea where to go with what I'm doing now. Over the years, I wrote pieces of the book from all over. I've now found places for almost all of them. I'm all caught up, in other words. With a couple of pages of exception, everything from now forward is new. I keep thinking I'm somehow going to write myself into another box, but that hasn't happened. I've been able to extract myself from every corner so far. Just have to keep going.

Well, it keeps me awake.
