That's my head. I don't have a convenient wall, so I'm bashing it against pillows.
Way back in chapter three? Two? Four? I left a big space in my novel for a Great and Terrible Tale. I'm now on Chapter Seven, and need to reference said Tale. Only problem is, I still haven't written it. In other words, I've now written myself into a corner, and must write my bridge back out. I've been looking at copies of the Mabinogion, but it's not quite the same. I'm not sure what would be most helpful. My protagonist is also about to start digging into ancient texts. I'm wondering if I could get into the libraries in London without being an academic-- as "just" an author. I'm looking for old tales, handwritten texts, from Scotland, Ireland, Norway. Even early printed ones would do. Not something we have much of here on tap in the States.
I need to work on a corset, as well, but I'm slightly stalled for lack of interlining. Surlz, can you bring me some tomorrow? Just two yards will do. You can keep the rest of the bolt for now.
Oh, and I'd forgotten how frustrating dyework can be. Sigh.
