So Jon Stewart was talking to Newt Gingrich (!) on his show last night, and this gem came out:

The thing I think makes it fair game is this: "This was Bristol's decision and we should honour that." I have a daughter. The reason I think it's fair game is Palin said she would veto abortion even in the case of rape, and she's saying "Vote me in so I can keep your daughter from having the same choice."

Amen. That is exactly why I say certain aspects of Palin's "private family life" are a political issue.

The whole thing is sad, Gov. Palin had a choice. She choose to have a child knowing he was going to need a lot of help and her and her have that help. It's not that easy for the rest of us and why is she so hailed? She is high profile and that child will get the best care out there.
