I did get a wedding go-ahead first weekend, too. So that's three. Counter that with the fact that I had to write an email tonight to a woman who went home, did the math, and realised she couldn't afford the corset. I had to remind her that the agreement she signed says the deposit is non-refundable. Her husband is going on disability. I feel like a heel. I can't figure out what the hell this international shipping form is asking for, so I have no way of knowing if Jo's corset will get through English customs. Now I have to call FedEx when I get home. My bank deposit won't clear til maybe Tuesday. I'm exhausted inside and out. Where the hell has this week gone?

As this mood isn't lightening discernibly, it's time to go mope my way to bed. So help me G-d, tomorrow will be better. It has to be.

As regards the corset, would you be able to compromise and refund half her deposit? I don't know, though; if she knew he was going on disability before she signed the contract, it's pretty much her funding mistake. Difficult call. Yet one another of the joys of owning one's own business.
Customs rules are a royal pain.

The oorset will get through customs to England without too much difficulty. There may be a Vat tax that the customer will have to pay to get it. The two that I sent (and one man's shirt) had no trouble, though it took a while. I wish I could remember the exact wording, but it's been a couple of years since I sent them.
