I just checked with my bank. Because I didn't stop my car payment from going through, since I had been told my sales would go through by MONDAY AT THE LATEST, my account is now over $400 overdrawn. I have pending charges that will also go through at midnight. By the time this fiasco is finished, I will have accrued over $350 in overdraft charges.

In other words, by the time I do, finally, get my money, I will be completely broke.

I don't even know what to do. I know I am partly to blame for this. I should have somehow stopped the car payment until I knew the money was there-- not on its way, but there. I should never have trusted this fucking company. The reseller blames CSI, CSI says it's just policy, and I'm just screwed. I left a message for my rep to tell him what happened, and my voice actually broke.

And of course, my mother screams at me that I am stupid and this is all my fault and I am ruining her credit. Which is all she really cares about.

Why does this affect your mother's credit? Did she cosign on something with you?

I'm switching everything over to a separate account, but at the moment, my primary is a joint account with her. If I'm really in dire straits, she can transfer money into it for me. Never really was an issue before and we've had it for years. She doesn't use it, but I do. Several months ago, it was overdrawn for a week, and they took money from one of her accounts to cover it.

I told her to get herself removed, but she hasn't done it. Just continually threatens to.

I agree with freyas_fire. It might be time to go medieval on your merchant company's collective ass. You're paying them for a service, and they are NOT providing it as presented. Bitch at them til they cave. Right now, it sounds as if they and the reseller are just playing off each other to avoid taking responsibility for the problem. Don't let them get away with it.

I had the same problem with the merchant company that I was using. Call them up, demand to speak to a manager, tell them their fuck up is screwing up your bank account, and make them pay for the overcharges. The idiots I *was* using kept taking monthly fees out of my account for six months after I had closed it, despite numerous phone calls and letters. It was only after I put a stop pay on any withdrawals by their company and filed affadavits of fraud at the bank that they finally got a clue and closed the account. It's becoming apparent to me that the people that work for these companies are MORONS - you have to keep on them until they do what you want.

...and the merchant company paid me back for both the monthly fees they took out after the closing date, and all of the overdraft fees. Considering I was threatening legal action on their sorry asses, it was a good move on their part. Forgot to mention that. ;)

Oh, fear not. I have a lawyer up my sleeve already.

And thanks-- it's really bizarrely comforting to know I'm not the only one who's been through this.

Do you have a paypal account? I don't know if I'll get to VARF on Sunday but give me a call or email me. I've got the cash set aside to pay for (most) of the corset I'm either going to buy or order (as we talked about). I'd be happy to send you the money now and we can worry about the actual order later. I trust you.

I do-- it's either info at mayfairemoon dot com or my lj name at aol. But I sent the corset with Courtney this afternoon, so you can take a look at it, try it on, and see if you like it first!

And I'm sorry I missed your call-- I've been napping on and off all day. I STILL feel like a truck's gone over me. And reversed a few times to be sure. I'll probably be spending most of this weekend unconscious, as a matter of fact, to see if I can knock the last of this crap out of my system before Fling.

Call me if/when you get to site, and let me know what you think of the corset, ya?

You're fabulous. Thank you SO much.
