So. I saw the fabulous physician's assistant at my doctor's office. She was GREAT. Seriously. If you're looking for a local doctor, I can't recommend this office enough. Everyone there is nice, and so far, every visit has been thorough and unrushed. And my blood pressure is 112 over 68. In case you cared.

She's not sure what it is in my throat. It's swollen, and-- put down your drinks-- there's pus in it. Woo. She put a tongue depressor in my mouth and I actually gagged. She was apparently expecting it, and jumped nimbly, in case I got more florid-- which, thank G-d, I didn't. But she was about to do a throat culture, and said, "Look, I'm going to give you the antibiotics anyway, so if you want, since you're uninsured, we can skip it." Huzzah. She also said she isn't usually profligate with antibiotics, which I also appreciate. But she gave me Azythromycin, and told me that it's idiot-proof. Though she then hastened to add she's not calling me an idiot.

I swung by Wal-Mart, and was reminded again why I despise that place. They shut the pharmacy window in my face, more or less. Then when I went to wait at the McDonald's, the pharmacist had the fucking nerve to come up behind me, say, "Excuse me," and cut in front of me in line. What the hell? So I threw up my hands and walked straight out. Target was MUCH nicer to me. I took the first dose of meds in the parking lot, and I already feel slightly better.

The business/personal situation which so enraged me the other week has still not resolved, and now I find myself as much hurt and betrayed as angry. That aside, Neil came and got my fabric and stock, and Courtney will watch my booth this weekend, bless her. I'm VERY happy about that. I, personally, will be spending this weekend in bed. I WILL say that I actually had ice cream prescribed for me-- so I may journey forth in quest thereof.

My throat still hurts like hell, but hopefully, it'll be better soon. I hope.
