How often does THIS happen?

So my Treo died Saturday, right? The bastard. Sprint sent me a new one, which arrived Monday. Woot. Aaaand then it didn't work. I mean, it WORKS, but I don't hear alarms, the speaker seems weird, and it won't hold onto the charger. It's refurbished, in other words. And badly.

So I call Sprint again today. They confirm that I have a 700p, and that I am a sad panda. (Incidentally, I am highly amused than now, along with telling you their names, they tell you where they are, so you don't automatically assume they're in India.) I wait for a few minutes while the tech with whom I'm speaking calls the insurance company. She's on hold, so I'm on hold, so it's a hold party. I have LJ, so I'm fine. Eventually, we get Linda conferenced in from the insurance company. Linda and I chat a moment, and she tells me that apparently, I'm not getting a new Treo 700p. I'm getting a brand-new 755p. And it will most likely be here tomorrow.

I am a happy camper.


Oh, and the sore throat has subsided greatly, thankfully. As has my nose. The cough seems to be on the wane, as well.
