Four soldiers were killed in Iraq yesterday.

4,000 soldiers have now died for this war. Four. Thousand. And how many civilians?

I don't know if I'm on your default view or not, but I wanted to ping you -- I made a post to intro you to another person on my friends' list, seferin. As I said to him, no expectation involved, I just think the two of you, so far as I can tell, have a few things in common, and that you'd enjoy chatting with one another.

This is apropos to this post because of his most recent post on roughly the same subject -- it's what sparked me to intro the two of you.

I haven't met him in person as I have you, no warranties implied or guaranteed, but I find him thoughtful and well spoken, and of similar mind to you on a number of subjects. I hope this is ok with you -- obviously you can totally ignore the recommendation/intro should you so choose. :)
