Shakespeare's Globe opens a production of my favourite play, "A Midsummer Night's Dream," on 9 May. It's one o fthe main reasons I'm so desperate to go back to London NOW.

On a whim, I decided to check out the RSC's site.

Their production of MND opens in Stratford-upon-Avon on 10 May.




My head may explode. Be warned.

Our friend Arlynda (now development director/ head grant writer for the American Shakespeare Center) and I have discussed going to Britain for that very event.

However. I have 22 days of vacation accumulated, but am poor after putting so darn much into this house. She is not quite so poor - after negotiating a $14,000 raise! - but has to go in soon for cataract surgery. (Yes, she's only thirty-something.) So I don't know if we can do it. I'll let you know!
