Getting my theatre geek on.

Does Molière qualify as a Restoration playwright even though he was French, and French theatres didn't close as English theatres did under Cromwell? How do French theatre historians refer to that brilliant 17th-century era? Any dramaturges out there? I'm sure this question was asked/answered in grad school, but that was a while ago, and I no longer remember.
