If you ever get to Amsterdam, head to the AlbertCuypMarkt and pop into The Silk Road. They cater to the Mideast/Indian wedding crowd and have some of the most incredible embroidered silk with matching embroidered silk organdy and china silks.
I have to take a towel in with me so I don't drool on the merch.

I saw a similar embroidered silk to what you've purchased there, priced at about 42 euros/meter, so $25/yard is a pretty good price.
