Plans? Who needs plans?
Feb. 17th, 2008 10:34 pmI MEANT to go to the Celtic Music Fest again today. Meant to. But then it got later, and I knew I was to go to dinner with
snugglyevil and
danorsong and John, so I canned that approach. Amusingly, the ladies did not call on their way over (ahem), and when I heard my front door open, I went from half-snooze to airborne in approximately .025 seconds. I do not think they would have appreciated my state of undress.
I spoke with my Aunt as I drove into town-- she's not happy at her new apartment, and I don't know what to do. I'm going to try to go see her tomorrow after my date. I so badly want her to be happy, and appreciate the life that she has. Dammit. Where's my magic wand?
We ate at Fado, nomnomnom, and were joined by
dogmomma. It was a classic, "Oh, my G-d, that's your MOM? Your MOM reads my LiveJournal?" (Sheepish) Now I know. And now I wave. Hullo!
snugglyevil and I repaired afterwards to Cosi for a few minutes, where I allowed some more of my brain to leak slowly from my ears. My family problems are ongoing, and I still can't see a way to fix them. We tossed around a very, very interesting idea, and then I persuaded her to wander to Borders-I-Mean-Barnes-&-Noble for a few minutes to replace my copy of The Diamond Age. And now I am home again, overstuffed, rather tired, and just ready for bed. Sigh.
Hope everyone had fun, though.

Date: 2008-02-18 01:55 pm (UTC)I never heard of The Diamond Age, but am always on the look out for good books. I'm a voracious reader, with a penchant for Sci-Fi/fantasy or a good novel.
Hope to see you again soon.
