Hee, I was in the bathroom when I heard the neighbors start screaming and whooping and hollering, from which I quickly deduced that the game must be over and their team must have won.
On the other hand, our household is happy with the results (insofar as we care) because the '72 Dolphins perfect season is still unparalleled. (So says the male portion of the family.)
wow. hubby wears some pretty thick blinders then. everyone *except* the '72 dolphins has pretty much said that this years pats are the better team.
last time i checked 16 - 0 is still fewer games than 18 - 1. don't get me wrong, i hate the pats, but i really hate old men who insist on their own relevancy when they've clearly been surpassed by time.
i don't gamble, but i get really sick of a bunch of apples that want to crow their supremacy over that bunch of oranges over there...
the attitudes of some of the people on the '72 dolphins team are really pitiful. it's like they can't bear to let their egos in on the secret that they're no longer the champs they once were.
For Superbowl this year, Susie, Jen, and I ate steak (well, Jen had a Boca)and had a Buffy-thon. Susie never watched it when it was on, so Jen and I have gladly helped educate her with our dvd's. We are on season 6, just saw the musical. So, I guess you could say we weren't all that into 'baseball' either!
