A certain person who shall remain nameless is prolly stranded in Manhattan at the moment. Have a beer for me. In fact, have a few for yourself, too, cos once I know you're safe, I'm gonna beat you with a halibut for not answering my texts.

Another friend is tossing ideas back and forth with me on how to keep the massive screwing that seems more inevitable every day from getting even more...well, massive. And not a happy screwing, either. Certainly not one with a sufficient amount of KY.

This guy's girlfriend's sister has a friend whose mother and grandmother...abandoned two kittens, ten cats, a dog, and a rabbit in their section-8 housing's laundry room. They got evicted-- the mother and grandmother-- and are currently bouncing from neighbor to neighbor to wherever. Yeah. I'd be full of compassion had they not fucking abandoned FOURTEEN ANIMALS. Three kittens have already been rescued. One died immediately. But thank G-d for [livejournal.com profile] snipeyhead. She gave me the names and numbers of whom to call, and once I get the address tomorrow-- as soon as fucking humanly possible-- you bet your ass I'll be on the phone. I'm just praying the daughter (who has been going in to at least walk the dog) doesn't flake out, or my friend's sister doesn't somehow forget to pump her for info on the exact whereabout of these animals. It's fucking JANUARY. It's fucking COLD. It's an UNHEATED ROOM.

Fuck it. I can't actually kill anyone in this moment, so perhaps I'll just go to bed.

You can also try the Animal Coalition of Delaware County - they may be able to take some of the animals in, especially if they know the circumstances, and most likely get the authorities involved. http://www.acdc.ws/
Friggin people - that kind of stuff makes my blood boil.....

That's how I got my Gena. She and her five kittens (and, incidentally, one large Oscar fish) were all abandoned when my former neighbors moved and decided they couldn't take the animals with them. My friend and I found homes for all the kittens and the Oscar, but no one wanted the momma cat. Lucky for me 'cause now I can't even remember what life was like without her!
