I'm strangely reminded of the Michael Vic case.
I like the revenge fantasy that involves dropping them into a pit filled with wild dogs and letting nature take it's course. After severing their spinal cords, and leaving them as dog food.

you should also read the followup. it was not just a verizon fuck up that delayed the investigation...it took 5 days for the police to even request the records FROM verizon and the paperwork was NOT marked "time sensitive"...so yes...hunt down the little bastards who killed Poor Edna, pull out their fingernails with rusty tweezers and all that....

but also yell at the cops in Philly as well as Verizon and I guess while we're at it, the whole system in general.

I completely agree that the system has to change. It also makes me angry to have all the shit happen to helpless beings. There's no reason it should take that kind of length or money to get numbers for *any* crime.

But, before saying this is just one phone company acting on it's own... I bet you will find the same antics at all the rest of them. It's just that this is the one used for this horrible crime....
