Tuesday, as all of this was starting to unfold, Ben's school held a memorial service for the two teachers and a junior who have passed away since October. Ben didn't know any of them personally and I had a previously-planned meeting, so we skipped it. I think I'm glad we did.
On the upside, Thursday is the day my best friend's son was born... Jarin Parker Ellis - there are photos on my Flickr if you want to see some damn cute toes. (And the rest of him, too, of course.)
