As I mentioned to
theresa_grant and
bronxelf_ag001 earlier tonight, this had to be the Night of Many Corsets, which often helps me center and calm down.
I was bitter about not getting a phone call I expected. Tired, unhappy with humanity in general, and feeling VERY overworked and stuck-in-the-mud.
Then I drafted Emily's corset. Relatively quickly. I then finally located my own pattern for Silver Emergency. I put the finished piece itself on, did a quick check in the mirror, and reworked the pattern. Again, fairly quickly. And as my personal coup de grace, I finished fine-tuning [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com]'s pattern. Now tomorrow, all I have to do is copy and cut them in tracing paper. I'll take them with me to Fling for [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com]'s perusal, along with a mostly-complete-but-still-open corset, and some materials, and we'll see where we are.
This is progress for me. It's better than Aleve.
Oh, and I've discovered the perfect surround-sound balance with my 5 computer speakers. It's divine, sitting here. Not so great when I'm at the light table where it is now, but I'll work that out later. I may move the couch again, but I'm getting used to it where it is now. Bless [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] for the amazing amounts of work she put into this place this past weekend. I hope it wasn't the Chinese food, baby. I really hope to see you.
Now, perhaps, I can sleep.
