I've been seeing my trainer since September 11th. That first session, I spent six minutes on the elliptical and had to get off before I threw up. Yesterday, I was on the elliptical for ten minutes to warm up, then another twenty-five an hour later.

Now, my weight varies day to day, of course, but as of this morning, I was down eight pounds. It may not sound like much, and it's a fraction of what I WANT to lose, but it's the first sustained weight loss I've had since, I think...1994? And that was my first goal: just to start losing weight in the first place.

I'm also going to try to concentrate more on what my nutritionist is telling me-- I've been slacking off there. Still, I feel good. Very good. And this is all in time for my physical on Tuesday. Huzzah!

Same here! I've been on it about two months now, and it's slowly starting to regulate my cycle. Thank G-D.

And thank you!!!!

Everyone dropped out on me, So I am just staying home and sewing.

The cycle regulation doesn't make me as happy as the food consumption regulation. I am not eating from craving to craving anymore.

I just like not knowing when the hell my period's coming, and not having to worry every damned day what's going to happen, you know?

I do. Not bleeding for 30 days in a row is pretty nice too.

And, because I am more in control of what I am eating, I think I am losing weight too.

have they run the "loosing just 5% of your total body weight will drastically reduce your risks for hd and other obesity related illnesses." by you yet?

that's a hot thing to keep in mind :)

and kudos on the elliptical. last time i tried to use one..it was...not pretty...and possibly dangerous to the machine. I lack elliptical skillz :(

Heh. No one had to. They just had to talk to me about my damned liver.

I've always sort of liked the elliptical. My knees like it more than the stairmaster, lemme tell ya. I HATE that thing.

agreed. if i wanted to climb stairs, it'd be because there's a hot guy and a five star gourmet meal at the top of them. otherwise? there is no reason for that machine.

Amen to that. I find I actually LIKE the arm machines, though. And I can actually FEEL that my arms are harder, though I don't think they look any different. It's SO cool.
