Oh, joy.

I now have a prescription for a low dose of metformin, and a boatload of advice and referrals for continuing care. She wants me to se a GI doctor, which will, ohhh, joy, entail that test NO ONE wants. Mmhm. They're gonna put me out for that one, I swear. But we have to take some closer looks at my recalcitrant liver. She LOVED my comment that I'd make great foie gras. I'm not even at the stage where it's non-alcoholic fatty liver disease-- which in itself didn't worry me so much-- she just doesn't want it to get there. Also, PCOS, having as much to do with insulin as it does, can lead to diabetes, so I have to take care there, too.

But hey, I lost a pound! WOO!

What is all this crazy health stuff going on? Are you going to be ok? What's metformin? Maybe I should call you instead of you having to write all this stuff out...
