I'm going back to the doctor tomorrow for more tests. My thyroid may be a bit underactive, and we have to schedule a sonogram to check for Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease.

I'm delighted. No, really. Honest to G-d, I am.

Why? Cos it's means I'm not just a lazy cow. While anything with "disease" in it isn't a walk in the park, it's not terribly serious, I'm led to believe, unless it gets, you know, serious. So having some more in-depth knowledge of my health is, in this case, fabulous, and helps me formulate a plan of attack. Once I have all the cards in my hand, I can go to the nutritionist and lay them all out.

In other news, very exciting Tour stage today, with jaw-droppingly gorgeous landscapes. But that's later.

fatty liver is nothing. just another place for fat to collect, like your belly or hips. we always tell patients to try to lose 10% of their body weight within the next year.

I get that impression, yeah. I'm only concerned cos it means I really have to get serious about my weight now, which is hard when you have, you know, no energy.
