I was dating someone who used to watch that, and well, lots of similar animal planet stuff. They were vegetarians... and for the ethical reasons not the health reasons.
I always used to wonder why the heck they would torture themselves.
Really, to me it was "downer TV."
Sure, it exists, sure we shouldn't be ignorant of it, but WHY do we have to (or want to) watch it?
