ysobelleWell, everything gets delivered Friday morning to the work site. Lumber, Sonotubes, lag bolts-- other stuff I'm sure I've never heard of. Saturday morning, we get to work putting it all together. Woo. It's funny-- I've been watching so much HGTV and DIY TV over the last few years, none of this even phases me. Even funnier, I took my parents to shop for a new washing machine yesterday, and we got to talking about upgrades they want to make to the house. I found myself suggesting a engineered wood floor for the kitchen, and composite stone countertops. Gevalt.
More amusingly, I keep thinking, "Oh, I'd love to put down wood floors in my booth one day." Hello? I'll HAVE wood floors. REAL wood floors. Doofus. Of course, we'll have to space them for expansion, which will be problematic if, say, a credit card gets dropped. But I think when we throw down some nice rugs, everything'll be much better. I can't WAIT to put up the actual building in a few years. Squee!

surlywench arrives in the morning-- right?-- and there's a list of things to do. Two tartan miniskirts, finishing two tartan corsets and one embroidered corset. That's all first, and finishes everything from WWRF. Then I start everything from Fairie Fest, and start planning for more stock for Celtic, and a Big Ongoing Project, about which I'm VERY excited. It's going to be a very interesting year. No, let me rephrase: it's going to continue to be a very interesting year.
And by the way? If anyone owes me money, now would be an EXCELLENT time to send it. I promise to put it to VERY good use.
