ysobelleVolvo commercials. The new car has a heartbeat monitor. Yeah. A what? I'm sorry, shouldn't you concentrate more on making the car harder to break into? Is there a rash of people hiding inside cars that I'm not aware of? I think you need to worry about someone hiding behind or near your car. This "feature" is the kind of thing that gives you a pretty pointless and unreal sense of security.
The other "innovation"? A sensor to tell you when you're getting too close to something. Here's an idea: how about the driver pays attention to where they're going? I mean, I have a perfectly good sensor, too: my eyes. If your car has to tell you you're too close, it's probably already too late. Or you're just an idiot.
Okay. I'm done for now. We all know there'll be more later.
