And this may be the most primally moving Christmas carol I know. The video is haunting, as well. It's quite short. Enjoy.

I've long loved this song. But I'd never seen the video until now. It was the B-side of a 45 I had a long time ago... and look, ma, I just dated myself!

This has been my favorite carol ever since it sinuously wound itself into my ears back in '87! I had the cassette, then the CD--both of which have sadly gone missing this season, and I was sad to have a Christmas without this song. Thank you for bringing it to me just in time (hooray Yso and YouTube)!

Isn't it gorgeous? And I didn't know it was a B-side anywhere! I thought it was only on "A Very Special Christmas"!

Ahhh, vinyl.

I did a problem with my geometry class last year which focused, mainly, on the differing speeds of a 45, if you're sitting near the center of the record versus on the edge. They looked at my all confused. I need to look up the speed of a CD, though I fear it'll be too fast to make the point so obvious.
