It's DONE!

ysobelleAnd already on its way to California. I can't believe I finished it.
I'm a little ambivalent at the moment. I can see things I'd do differently now. But it's a learning experience, and on the whole, it's pretty. I can't wait to see it ON Donna.
There are tiny ribbon roses on the braid, and a raspberry organdy ribbbon to bind it. There's a tassel on the left hip. The shield and the point of the braid on the hip attach with velcro, with the soft part on the corset, hidden in the clouds in case the wearer wants to just wear a corset with shimmering clouds on it. (There's a fine glitter in the paint.)
There will be more painting in the future. I think, for example, next time I'm painting right on the silk. Or at least on something thinner than this kind of leather. It'll protect the painting this time round, though, so that's good.
I wish I could rest, but man, waaay too much more to do. back to work!
