Thanks to the virtual cattle prod of the lovely [livejournal.com profile] snugglyevil, I am much further along than I dreaded I wouldn't be.

Still to do:
3-lace moss corset: bone, set busk, close, lace.
5-lace moss corset: sew seams, sew panels, turn, topstitch, channel stitch, bone, set busk, close, lace.
Broadcloth chemise: serge, sew ribbons, dye, elasticise.
If there's time: Flower corset: sew seams, sew panels, turn, topstitch, channel stitch, bone, set busk, close, lace.

That's tomorrow, G-d help me. Then by Friday, the fabric for the skirts should be in. as my usual supplier couldn't get it, I went through Tony and...er...Bill? at Wilks. I paid through the nose, so there goes most of my profit for this job. But I'll have the outfits done when I said I would.

Janel, your corset's almost done, actually. I brainstormed for WEEKS on how to fix it, and finally got the light bulb to go on last Sunday. It's in pieces now, but should be done end of next weekend.

The Rapunzel corset also has to get worked on tomorrow. I'll spend this weekend working on her face. Ooo...I wonder if I can get some pretty bird buttons to sew onto it....

And my dear friend Todd is coming up for the Funky Formal. I'm utterly thrilled. I'm also thrilled that he seems to have made a killing on his stock options at work. I've known him since his starving artist days, and I couldn't be happier that he's now doing so incredibly well.

And in further good news? I finally had a dream last night that wasn't mean or cruel. Weird, yes, but not mean. Sting was in it, and a very odd theatre/glass house, and I was getting ready to go on stage. It was serious, but no one was deliberately spurning me. That's a step up. And the architecture kicked ass.

Oh-- the Korean drama ended tonight, with very much more a "Huh?" than a "Yay!" Audrey: "You made me stay twenty minutes for THAT?" Me: "I made me stay TWO WEEKS for that!"

Bed. Much to do tomorrow. Again.

Y'know, I'd kill for that. Would you mind if I used one of the ones you already sent me, btw? I'm not sure how, yet, but I LOVE it.

Oh-- and the best part about the fix? I've managed to do it without screwing up the integrity of the existing fabric or replacing anything save some of the loops. The stomacher will sit an inch or two lower at the bottom. But the body will simply be shorter all the way around. I'd had these nightmare visions of having to replace the whole thing, or, worse, just part of it-- which would mean I'd have to pray I could match the dye lots. But no, I think we should be golden! Or blue, that is.

YOU SO CAN use them
I'm glad, I kind of like the idea of it sitting
a little lower on the hips anyhow it'll cover the
streatchy fabric part of the skirt better

Well, er...it won't go lower on the hips, it'll just be lower around the top. About where you pinned it. But if it's still uncomfy when you get it back, tell me!
