First thing? The new collectable mint coin of the Twin Towers? The one made from gold and silver found at Ground Zero? The one that's 3-D and stands up? @#&*^% vile, folks. Taaacky.
I feel better.
Anyway. So. This weekend.
It'd be an understatement to say this weekend went better thank I'd expected. I took two orders for full outfits, and another order for a corset. I got two payments on existing orders, as well. In other words, go me. Almost as importantly, I had a wonderful time. I'd been nervous in patches all week, wonering what to expect. And I know I won't have a weekend like this every week. I also know I have a lot of work to do, not only on the orders, but on my booth. I need the sign done, I need the plant in, I need heavier curtains, some shelves.... Unfortunately, what I need most is the floor, and I'm really not sure how to make that happen now. I should be a big girl, suck it up, and call, but...well. I just can't keep standing on uneven gravel on a hillside. Ow. Just...ow. My knees and my hips do NOT appreciate it.
The rose tags are totally out of control. In a good way. Bill's version of "Jingle Bells" made me weep, even though I only saw the reprise. Having a random patron spontaneously join the bunny-hop up the road with me was fabulous. Making Mark lie down in the road and expound on "how much he loves little fluffy bunnies" in revenge was even better. Soon, it'll be Bobbie we tag. Muhahah! We shall have to introduce her up and down the Grove. And no one tagged Emily yet. Hm.
I gave myself off today to rest up. How tired was I? I forgot my dog at Mom and Dad's. Shh-- she just thinks I was late. But I came home, hit the couch, and was unconscious for three hours, so I can forgive myself for the lapse.
Tomorrow, I take my laptop to get fixed. I MUST be able to take credit cards. I think I was lucky this week, but it's inevitable I'll lose a sale. Probably several.
My brain's all over the place. I was asked why I think this is luck. I'll get back to you.
I feel better.

Date: 2006-08-16 12:24 am (UTC)Also I want to add a skirt to the order. If there is enough silk? And are you doing hoop skirt size or just hang size? Cause I'm hoping for hoop.
Let me know about the cost though,
I'm glad you had a good weekend and I swear I'll spend more time talking to you next weekend. Sunday got busy and then we got pooped and went home.
::hugs::
