I think the time has come to get an external drive to back everything up. Prolly 250GB. FireWire. Mac OSX compatible.

And that, kids, is all I know. What else should I look for? Whom should I avoid, in both manufacturers and sellers? How much should it cost me?

We purchased a Maxtor, not sure of the size, but I know it's a large one. We're gonna use it to back up mainly our pictures. Hopefully I'll do that this weekend. I think it cost $300.00.
