ysobelleSo tonight, after I fell asleep on the couch and awoke to a phone call not just groggy but dizzy, I said to myself, "Self, go to bed now, and get everything done tomorrow. It won't take that long."
So I talked to Erin awhile, and at about 9.30, got ready for bed only to discover one of my animals had tracked mud (I will swear that it is mud, and no one can convince me otherwise) across all my sheets.
Up I get, back out to the living room, and I unpick the seams for the lace top. Remind me never to do that again, okay? White thread on white lace...it's not pretty. As nothing was clean yet, I decided to do a bit of the serging on the skirt. Two hours later, and the skirt needs only to have the freshly-serged hem turned, and get a quick ironing, which I won't do til Friday morning or even Friday night.
All I have left now is the new sleeve uppers and rolling the edges of the top. But so much for getting a good night's sleep!
