I cannot make an appointment with the Philadelphia Passport Office unless I'm travelling within two weeks. Three and a half is not close enough.
Kill me. Just kill me now.
Thankfully, I can send via FedEx from here, and have it there by noon tomorrow. I'm including a copy of my receipt from the post office-- the one that said I'd have the passport in two weeks-- my birth certificate, a copy of my itinerary, and a slightly desperate letter. The woman with whom I spoke this morning says I can expect a three-to-five day turnaround.
Still.

Date: 2006-04-03 11:54 pm (UTC)After we get back, I want to get a duplicate passport with a better picture, and to avoid having one of those tracking chips in mine for as long as possible. (All passports are supposed to have one by the end of 2006, but if you get one before then without a chip, it's still valid for ten years.)
So I'm proceeding as planned; the mission is go... T-minus 26 days and counting!
