Thanks for calling to tell us you won't be attending our Lending class. I understand the effort it requires to call all the from Miami. I also respect the effort it took you to hang up from the general line and call my personal line when your first call didn't give you the answer you wanted. I also acknowledge and honour your time spent having me repeat myself five times.

Yes, indeed, you are "being nice" by letting us know you won't be attending this class, because, of course, no one else on this planet would deign to do us that staggering professional courtesy. But yes, I'm afraid we do need your cancellation in writing. I do appreciate that yes, it takes an inordinate amount of time out of your busy day to write a one-sentence email or fax and get it to us. I'm sorry if this seems an unreasonable burden on you, but I feel I should point out that if it's this close to the class, you were going to forfeit the entire fee anyway, even if you did send us something. I also understand that your bank hasn't paid for the class yet, but as our policies state numerous times on every point of registration you possibly could have seen, you will be charged anyway. If you elect not to pay, that's fine. We have collection agencies.

Thank you, and have a nice day.

No love whatsoever,

Are you sure that wasn't one of my former tenants? they seem to have a real issue with giving a written notice to tell us they are moving. They seem to think calling is good enough, despite legal and policy requirements.
