It wasn't a false friend, really-- just someone I used to really trust, and support, who apparently doesn't feel I'm owed the same consideration.
actually, the same could be said for the two I mentioned. but then, they also kept telling me how much they cared about me and all that lot. the caring was conditional, though, on my becoming more like them both and the guy's friends, which was/is just ridiculous to ask someone to do.
I never saw it coming either. and it still hurts...at least you were on close enough terms with your friend to have some kind of warning.
