ysobelleI had to open a can of whoop-ass at work today and let it all out to my supervisor and the COO of the company. I feel MUCH better. And I categorically denied being on AIM at work-- except once for a day or two when I needed to catch someone, when I used AIM express briefly-- and, get this, PLAYING DVDs. What the FUCK? I am still pissed, but the two of them like my work, and my team likes me, so I'm okay for now. We'll see what happens. I used the phrase "hostile workplace." I don't like having to do that, but this kindergarten bullshit has got to stop. Thankfully, I think my higher-ups agree.
Half an hour on the treadmill. Whee!
Simon called me on the way home. We talked about my boots, he apologised again, and he said I should have them in about four weeks or so. He's going to take off the sole, open the upper flat, and stitch on an applique in flat leather over the dying parts. Then put on a new sole. It's either that or get entirely new boots, and I don't really want to spend the $300. Besides, now they'll be even more unique.
And then I walked into the house. Clue comes running. I'm happy to see her-- til I realise she's stained in rusty red all the way up her front legs. Oh, sweet Jesus, what has she done? Is she hurt? Oh, G-d, what did she get into? How bad is she hurt? Wait a second-- give me that paw. What the hell...?
Apparently, Clinique lipsticks taste very good to doggies. They do not, however, go well with my carpet.
Sigh.
