I got a Gmail account. It's Ysobelle, of course. I don't know that I'll use it much, but hey, I have it. The first person to spam me there, or send me ANY kind of chain letter/fwd/glurge/pseudo-religious, not-even-Snopes-will-touch-it claptrap gets locked in a room with Clue with peanut butter shoved up their nose. And no earplugs.

I get so crazy sleepy in the middle of the day. L was telling me the other week that there are specific times he gets sleepy; that plus my mom and aunt going in for sleep studies lately has me thinking quite a bit about how I do-- or don't-- sleep. I try to go to bed about 11.30. But no matter what time I actually do tuck in, I inevitably wake up about 6.20. Then I have to stumble to the bathroom, and then take a bit of water. I stumble back to bed, and usually fall asleep again for a while. But then I'm tired for ages. I feel like I'm ALWAYS tired.

Twenty minutes on the bike yesterday, last five minutes at cardio. Next week I'm going for 25, maybe 10 at cardio. I'm hoping this helps.

Speaking of sleep, sorry I zoned out on you last night. Imagine my surprise when I discovered that the paper I'd been writing was not, in fact, done. I didn't even notice I'd fallen asleep until about two in the morning, when the comercials in my head stopped lining up with the ones on the television and the discrepancy woke me...bah. It's weird to fall directly into a dream that you're still doing whatever you were doing, no matter how many things it was. What sleep studies are these, that yours are doing?

They put you in a hotel-type room in a sleep study center (which is in a hotel!), fit you up with wires and such, turn on the infrared camera in the wall, and tell you to relax and go to sleep. Uh huh. Then in a few days they tell you why you didn't sleep well.

I know, I know, there's more to it than that. But that's it in a nutshell. And don't worry about last night. I was pretty sleepy, too. Still am. And I HATE dreams like that. You feel like you haven't slept a bit!

So much true! I wasn't tired the second time I woke up, but it was still upsetting to find out my paper was still not written.

Also, the sleep study sounds pretty funny, really. Wires sound like they're not fun to sleep with >.< I prefer pandas, I think ^__^

If you wake up at 6:20, stay up. That's your internal clock. Eventually you'll fall asleep earlier than 11:30.

Yeah, right. That's what the experts say.

But give it a try for several days & see what happens. You may just like the extra time in the morning to get stuff accomplished.

Good luck!

I find that if I follow my natural sleep clock I would be up at 2, I have to pee, and at 5 I have to pee again, and again at 6:20.. What would they say then?? Drink less water?? hehehehee
Seriously, if I were to go to bed when the body said so, I would be perfect all day!

So true! If I followed my natural sleep clock, I wouldn't be yawning on the AM train, I wouldn't be falling asleep mid-day at work, and I wouldn't be dosing off on the PM train.

It's hard to take one's own advice at times!

BTW Tia, do you still have your long hair? And, I joined IWG. I'm #3288. :-) (This is Barbara if you didn't know)

I would be in bed at like 8 and up at 6.. I would be a happy person too.. I liked my 7-4 shift quite well.. It is this 8:30-5 crap that stinks.

Hair is still long, it is layered though.. Not too shabby.. I like it..

I would sleep all damned day and be up all night. That's what happens if I have more than three or so days off work.

Gmail is really good about spam. I don't even get emails from my friends sometimes because Gmail deems it spam. It's really cool.

Yeah, but that speaks volumes about the caliber of friend you have, doesn't it?

When I worked at the World Trade Center, my shift was midnight to 8 AM, just the way my bodily rhythms liked it. Call me a vampyre if you like, but I just feel more comfortable being nocturnal.

(No, not that World Trade Center - the one in Denver.)
