I am here at my parents' for dinner. My cell phones are home at my place.
I can't shake this odd sense of displacement.
I pointed out my gym to Lars after he met me at my office, and halfway to my garage. "When did I become such a Yuppie?" I wailed.
"You're not a Yuppie," he replied, matter-of-factly. "You're an Urppie. An Urban Renaissance Professional." I feel much better.
Oh, and he also pronounced Philadelphia, through which he's rarely actually walked, to be remarkably clean. I'm amused by that. I've always thought so, but so few other people seem to.
